There are so many style trends that you can try out for Fall 2024! This season is a perfect mix between new and re-occurring trends.
1. Butter Yellow
This soft yellow is not too overpowering and not too pastel. It's a in-between shade of yellow that is perfect for those that want to start adding yellow to their wardrobe! To style this, you would want to use butter yellow as an accent color instead of an everywhere color because too much of this color can be a little overwhelming. To start it can be as simple as butter yellow shoes, bags or a belt!
2. All The Bows
If you thought balletcore would be a short-lived trend, think again! Bows are here to stay (at least for the Fall season) and they're not subtle. It's bigger, bolder and it's meant to stand out on your clothing. To style this, you can either lean into having bows from top to bottom or use it as an accent to your outfit, the latter option is the subtle way to style this trend. If you happen to have any clothing items that you bought during ballet core, like ballet flats, wear them out babes!
3. Boho Chic
Daisy Edgar-Jones was very lucky that Twisters released when boho chic became trendy again because that trend perfectly fits with the windy movie! You all might've seen a lot of Chloe on the red carpet recently - the sheer ruffles and layered chiffon fabrics. Boho chic is back and better than ever. To style this, you can wear a flowy sheer top paired with denim bottoms and boots or you can wear a sheer layered dress on top of a dress or skirt+tops. There's so much styling potential with this style!
4. Preppy
Xoxo, Gossip Girl! The preppy style trend can be a fun way to play around with business casual and bring more personality to the workplace. It's easy to transition this style from a daytime to nighttime/going out look. To style this, you can wear a fun patterned button-up top and half tuck it into jeans or a pleated skirt with loafers or flats (which is another fall trend). To style this for workwear, you can wear a solid colored button-up top with a pleated maxi skirt (fully tuck in top) and trousers with heels or loafers!
5. Flats
Flats are here to stay! Again, after balletcore we saw a surge of ballet flats and flats in general, so it's not surprising that this trend is the same for fall. Flats are such versatile shoes that can be worn with anything and perfect for any occasion. Need some work shoes: flats. Comfortable going out shoes: flats. Dressy shoes: flats. There are so many different types of flats, so have fun with it!
6. Structured Boots
Guess who's back? Structured boots! Every fall we see boots come back but recently structured boots have been the go-to footwear of choice for the fashion people. There's so many different lengths, heel type and fabrics you can choose from when styling an outfit. To style this, shorter length bottoms help an outfit visually flow better with knee-high structured boots. If you want to wear longer bottoms, a shorter ankle length structured boot will be more visually flattering. For the Seattle people: I recommend some good waterproof boots!
